Modern Calligraphy Practice

Hello weekend! I’m so excited to finally be able to practice calligraphy. I’m becoming obsessed with calligraphy! I know that if I keep practicing my skills will evolve. Practice is always the key to progress.

I fell in love with my Cocoiro Letter Pen. It helped me a lot as a beginner. I somehow know how to adjust the pressure when I’m writing. Play with thin and thick strokes and just experiment with various styles.

I want to explore the different ways of hand lettering and just let my imagination fuel me.

At the moment, I’m still finding my own style. I’ve been acquiring inspiration from all those talented artists. It’s nice to keep finding inspiration because it helps me get a lot of ideas. At the same time I am being exposed to a lot of new things that makes me want to try them all.

I’m excited to start creating and just be creative in the process.

I tried doing my first calligraphy and I’m happy with it! In fact I’m ecstatic! I never imagined that I could be able to write this good. Because my penmanship is a mess! Fortunately, I found a way to improve it!
